If you are using my precompiled binary go to http://space.tin.it/computer/hherold/ and get the sll libraries, too, as stated there, first item in the download table:   ssllibs (http), ssllibs (ftp). Source at www.openssl.org, openssl-0.9.6-stable-SNAP-20020916.tar.gz. ANY wget binary compiled with ssl need these.
