Hi Les,

Unfortunately, the server is monitored but doesn't report down.  I see where
you're coming from with the server/service being busy but that isn't the
case, this is what is sooo frustrating.  I will try what Yaniv suggested and
let you know how it goes.  Of course if anyone else has any more suggestion
feel free to submit.

   If you monitor the server (as opposed to the service) does this also
report down. Also can you tie the "down time" to FTP activity on the server
(the server/service might be to busy to reply).

Hi,

Has anyone used or is using this:

We use ProFTPD as our FTP Server and have WUP Gold monitor it via the
"Services" tab.  This works fine but every couple of hours it loses
connection claiming FTP Service is down.  When this is investigated I find
that the FTP Server is working fine.

If you have any tips it would be greatly appreciated?
