Funny you should mention that - that's what I'm doing now
(tycho.usnogps.navy.mil).
Thanks to everyone for the other good suggestions.

Hi,
You can use the Navy's "Time" site as a site to ping to, it should be on
all the time:
192.5.41.41 = ntp1.usno.navy.mil

Just wondering what folks are doing to monitor connections to the Internet?
I can ping my provider's (Sprint) routers all the way to the edge of their
network, but this doesn't give me any assurance they are able to route my
traffic to the Internet. Is there anything "out there" on the net that's up
all the time and reliable enough to use as a ping reflector to see if the
Internet is accessable from my network?
