I've recently implemented WUG 6.02 and found an anoying feature in the way it tracks device states. When run as a service it maintains the device state (up/down) but doesn't share that info when you PcAnywhere to the WUG server and start another instance of the app to utilize the GUI. I have to use to the GUI to config event forwarding to my Tivoli TEC, but I don't want to have to have someone logged into the box at all times. It's a security concern and a adminstrative issue (can't tell who made a change, just that 'wug_user' change program options). How do others tend to use this app, running as a service and accepting the additional notifications or running as an app with a user constantly logged onto the server?
