Here is another way to unregister the WUGTTSNotification.DLL: Change to
the WhatsUp Gold Dir.  Execute this command: svcinst /u
WUGTTSNotification.DLL

Do you still see the dll at this reg path?:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{448616A2-A34B-11D4-8B63-0020781EA45F}\InprocSer
ver32
