It's been my experience that nortel is odd in the way they report on most SNMP interface values. They have never seemed to be all that big on using MIBII. They ususally elect to build proprietary MIBS for that stuff. So creating custom interface services for Nortel/Wellfleet equipt is very challenging. It isn't Anything WUG is doing that causes that (they are simply creating MIBII services for "interfaces"). It's Nortel's SNMP choices. That's why your Cisco stuff should see better results. If you want to explore the Nortel/Wellfleet MIBs, you can get them at www.somix.com Along with lots of MRTG templates.
Hope this helps Mike Krygeris Somix Technologies, INC www.somix.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Scott Van Gordon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, January 08, 2002 1:18 PM Subject: Re: [WhatsUp Forum] Mapping a Router - Interface Service? > Don - > > I hear ya not only have I not found a use for it - I also don't trust it's reporting.
