Your router does not by default use IPX ping.
Provided you're not on the same segment and your router is a Cisco box, you will have
to
tell it to use IPX ping (don't remember the command but if you need I'll look it up).

Does anyone monitor Netware 4.x/5.x using IPX ? I can't seem to get a good
IPX ping. I ping and ipxping the server from any remote server, and all is
fine. WhatsUp Gold can't seem to find it; the WUG box is running IPX/SPX as
well. Any ideas ?

Rick
