Polling starts at the same time only first time (ver.7) you start WUG as a
service or program.
Next polling intervals starts depend on devices response times, timeouts
etc.

| Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Staggered Polling
|
>------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Greetings,
Long time reader, first time poster...
Using WUG 7.03. Wondering if there's a way to have maps stagger their
polling when you launch WUG. For example, when I load the program now, all
45 of my maps load, and they're all set to poll at the same time. I'd like
it so that they don't all poll at the same time, some of them are set to
poll 10 seconds later, other 20 seconds later, etc.
I can obviously go to individual maps and start the polling cycle over on a
particular map manually, however, when I configure the system to run as a
service, this will not be an available option, as a system restart will
cause all polling to start at the same time again. I could also set the
polling timers to be different on different maps (every 90 seconds, 100
seconds, 110 seconds, and so on) but then you lose your polling standards
for reporting.
Any suggestions?
