You can monitor any perfmon object. You can DL a demo and try it for yourself. The promo pricing is 795 I think. Regular price is 4995 but that includes whatsup 7.

I too looked at the cocores web site, and could not find a thing talking about monitoring exchange queues with this product, any help?  I am just curious as to how this company implemented this.

Another way of doing this that is much easier is here. www.cocores.com. I am using their plug-ins package and like it a lot. It's a little bandwidth intensive if your trying to run over slow wan link but all in all much easier than recompiling mibs etc...

Derek,

There are a couple of ways you can try this. The first is to recompile your mib.bin using the perf2mib.exe utility from Microsoft. Is believe that you can find the info on that on your exchange 5.5 CD. You can set up a custom SNMP service for the MTA queue oid and this will work. The other thing you can try is looking at the package provided at http://www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/ . Thanks to Garth Williams, some of the mysteries of SNMP on win32 are demystified. Make sure you use his mib to find the OIDs because they can tend to be different than the ones you might find elsewhere,

I hope this helps.

Has anyone been able to successfully monitor an Exchange 5.5 servers MTA queue using SNMP?  ALL I want is an alert generated when the queue's gets above say 20 messages (for example).

SNMP is installed & working on all PC's & I can drill down & see the MTA queue in the SNMP explorer but the values always read 0.

any help appreciated.

thanks.
