There is a way to get icons from Visio and use them in whatsup. There is a site that has some icons posted but most of them are for older products, I don't have the site link anymore but I have the zip file if you would like it just email me and I will send it to you.

Just give each one a useful title. It works very well. If you have a lot of switches that you want to look different, you could create new devices using the same icons but have different overlay text. This is how I have shown the difference between my hubs, switches, and terminal servers. They all have the same icon but are different device types, with a overlay text. It shows different in the map view, and in reports they have different device types listed. If you need help creating new device type check out http://www.ipswitch.com/Support/whatsup/guide/v700/2mapa12.html Jeff Cook -----Original Message----- From: Jean-Francois [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, September 11, 2002 9:39 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] Editing icons Hello. Yes, there are not a lot of icons included with WUG. How could I obtain more icons. I tried without luck to draw some. It worked but it's time consuming and they where not very nice anyway. Is there any library of ready to use Icons? Did anyone had more luck at drawing them? I am looking for Cisco switch icons if possible. Thanks. Give it a name, leave the icon as is, set the snmp oid for AIX if you know it, and then change the Overlay Text from "NT" to "AIX" Thats all... I am trying to make the text on the NTServer say AIX. Does anyone know how to do this? Thank you Kevin Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
