Folks, I'm trying to get an idea if monitoring devices using SNMP on certain devices would be worth it. I am a novice when it comes to the SNMP aspect of networking.
For example I have a Netbotz temp/humd monitor in our server room. Right now all the alerts goto my mailbox, it would be really slick if I could monitor the temp using Whatsup and have all the alerts come from Whatsup. From what I've read, I realize SNMP is no walk in the park, but I would like to see an example of what I can do with it before I take that walk.
