You might want to look at some of the solorwinds products, the network performance monitor shows the usage and packet loss. And if you think you are not getting all of your bandwidth you can use the wan killer to put a load on the line. It works very well, but if you use the wan killer when users are around they will not be going anywhere. The have free 30 day eval at solorwinds.net Thanks, KenC

Well, if you know the utilization, then you should know what's available. Right! But MRTG only monitors bandwidth utilization, not bandwidth available. I don't know of anything that monitors the available bandwidth. Anyone any thoughts? -----Original Message----- From: Jonathan Hay [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 12 February 2003 16:00 To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] Bandwidth measures? I use MRTG to monitor traffic utilization on our T1's we provide to customers. It will give you a daily, weekly, and monthly breakdown of your bandwidth. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, February 12, 2003 9:29 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] Bandwidth measures? Anyone knows of product or freebie that would measure the true bandwidth on a T1 link with long haul. For example I have a T1 link between DC and LA and I need to know how much true bandwidth I really have.
