Hi all, I've just put in an order for an upgrade from v5.01 to v8, and am moving at the same time from an NT workstation to an XP workstation.
I've got a few maps with about 50 devices on each, some SMS pager and email alarms, SNMP traps, and a couple of daily reports. Is there a FAQ on upgrades up this type, i.e. moving machine AND version, or any tips and caveats anyone has? Oh, and will I be able to do a straight install of V* or so I have to go 5.01 then 8 on the new machine? I'd rather dp a "clean" v8 straight out of the box as it were, rather than patch an older version. Many thanks for any advice, Andy.
