You will have to import the Compaq.mib into WhatsUp Gold using the MIB extra utility and use SNMP to receive traps for your devices. But, why would you want to do this by adding additional complexity or reliance on WUG? Why not just use Compaq Insight Manager natively to trap, log, and send alerts via e-mail and pager? Sometimes it is better to have multiple tools monitor your critical environments (i.e., don't just rely on one monitoring app).The one drawback is administrative overhead and training. Just my 2 cents.

Does anyone know of a way to integrate WUG ver. 8.0 with Compaq Insight Manager? For instance to have WUG report, if a hard drive dies, or a fan dies, or a server does an ASR, or a tape drive needs to be cleaned etc...
