Hi, people.

I've got an Arch Wireless pager, and my WUG 8.0 has some notifications
configured both to e-mail the pager and page to pager. E-mailing works
great. Paging the pager was okay before, but now is very poor. Pager
itself and the configuration of the pager in WUG is fine. I've posted on
this topic before. I spoke with WUG tech support last week and read him
the debug log. He right away told me of an incompatibility in the TAP
protocol between WUG and Arch Wireless. WUG's TAP is a brown paper bag
version?? and it is compatible, but not 100% compliant, with that of
Arch?? The techie told me I might see some successful pages, but the fact
that they don't mesh 100% means that my pages to the pager will fail most
of the time. Strangely enough, all of the failures occur when an SNMP trap
occurs. I just called Arch to ask them about it and what they recommend as
the protocol of choice for paging the pager. Arch told me they use the
WCTP protocol (whatever that is). Obviously, WUG8.0 only lists
TAP/SMS_TAP/NTT/UCP-SMS. Anybody out there have anything to contribute in
the way of comments, workarounds or solutions?? Thank you....
