No,  That is not the case because my routers are functioning just fine when I close the web interface and close the WUG program itself and run the service.  It is a good thing I am already bald because I would be about ready to pull my hair out on this.......I have worked on this straight for two days to no avail.  Thanks again for all the input, it is greatly appreciated.

Are you sure that its started?  Sounds to me like the application is driving your web interface, and not the service thats running.   With v7 and up I believe, you can't run both the service and the application at the same time.   Does this sound like what you are experiencing?

If I understand this you are not running WUG as a service?

If not then when you close the App you kill everything and nothing should work.

As far as having the App open with the map open and closing the browser.. you got me... never seen that one.

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] strange polling issue

Greetings and Salutations once again.

I would firstly like to extend a sincere thank you to all those who assisted me with my previous postings regarding UPS monitoring.  You guys are terrific!

Now onto my current dilemma.  As I stated in my previous posting, I am new to the usage of this software and may be missing some of the nuances.  I currently have all my routers being monitored with no problems.  I have just created my server maps and am in the initial stages of testing them.  Well this is my issue, at this stage I simply have the servers set up to poll via icmp. Here is the strange thing that is happening and totally has me perplexed.  If I have the map open in the WUG application or the map up in a browser, it polls fine.  As soon as I close the web interface or the map in the WUG app on the server, the polls terminate.  Has anyone else experienced this?  My server maps appear to mirror my settings for polling of my router devices and yet my routers do not experience this problem.  Thank you again in advance for your assistance.
