Dear Mark
Yes ,I am using Whats Up Gold 8.01. My querry is that I am able to receive a SNMP Trap from a cisco switch 2924 configurd and with the same configuration on Cisco router having IOS ver much latest than that of a switch I am not able to receive the trap in quickstatus. As said Surprisingly the traps in SNMP trap logs are captured and howcome in the quickstatus I could not get the same?
Since the traps are not geting captured in quickstatus, I am not bale to to fire the alerts .
I think any event will be fired only if it is seen in quickstatus.

Pls help me.

Thanks in advace.

If so, then all traps show in the SNMP Log but only those that fire an Event will show in the Activity Log, and thus in your QuickStatus log.

Configure an Event on the approriate device(s) on the map. Perhaps start with "Any" just so that you can check that things are working OK. When you are happy that this is working you can fine tune and replace the Event "Any" with something a bit more specific.
