This sounds great. When is 9 due to Beta?

You'll be pleased to know that the answer is "Yes". You will be able to set up each
monitor with it's own poll frequency (ie, ping every 60 seconds and check the HTTP
every 300) and alerts (or "actions", to give them their WhatsUp Pro name) will be tied
to the monitor. Thus, email one person when the device cannot be pinged and email
someone different when the webserver on the device does not respond.

"The way to do this in v8.0x..." <-- does this mean that v9 brings a better solution?
;)

The way to do this in v8.0x is to create a coy of the device on your map. On one copy
you just monitor the device itself and configure the alert that goes to everyone. On
the other copy you monitor the service and configure the alert that only goes to a few
people.

Hi!

Is this possible?

Scenario:
I have my WUG to monitor up/down-state on a server. WUG is also monitoring some
services.
And when the server goes down or a service fails an alert is sent.

My wish:
To separate the service alerts so they are sent to another destination.
So that when the server goes down, everyone is alerted.
But when a monitored service fails only a few are alerted.

I know how to setup filter out events and choose where the alert will be sent.
But when it comes to "monitor and services" all alarms are sent together.

Can it be done? Hope you understand.
