That's what I did.  We have a few hundred web servers that all came up as Workstation so rather than changing each one individually, I just did an update on the nDeviceTypeID field to the ID of a Web server...in my case 21.

I remember reading that some of this will be addressed in a service pack.  Until then,  can’t you access the database directly and make multiple changes there en mass?

Also, how about the ability to change the properties of multiple devices at once.  For instance, i am going through (1 by 1) and changing the devices types from the default of 'Workstation' to what they actually are.  If I could select multiple it would save a lot of time...

I would like to know if there is any way to apply an action or action policy to multiple devices at once.  I need to apply the same action for up/down alerting to over 200 devices.  In WUG, you could apply an alert to multiple devices at once.  Where has that feature gone.
