Thanks thought I had tried that - It worked so I guess not.
Now I feel WUP is more secure. :-)

Hmm, I originally installed WUG on a"D" partition of a
WIN2k system. It has worked for years. Now at 8.03
andinstalled the WUP to thesame "D" drive by replacing
theC:/. . . . with D:/. . . and itinstalled and
picked up all the maps andsnmp.txt and traps.txt
etc.My only problem is trying to log in withthe web
interface remotely. It did not pickup the defined
users. andcan not find where to addusers and
privilages.

whatI have read on the list it will only prompt for

does not work.

I had a similar issue. I had to recreate the
contextfor my maps in order to get them to
upgradecorrectly.

I keep reading all these messages relating toupgrading
from WUG, and they all state that the option
to"upgrade" is available during the installation,
however;after several attempts of installing WUP and
trying differentpreferences and subsequently
uninstalling it, I have yet to see anyoption that
allows me to upgrade. It installs separately every
timewithout an upgrade being done. Have I downloaded
the wrong copyor something? ---Greg RothfussSystems
