The fix for Professional will be in Service Pack 1, currently scheduled for release in two months time.
In answer to the question "what about a quick Hotfix in the meantime?", unfortunately, this particular problem is not amenable to a Hotfix (something that would patch individual files) because it involves database schema changes. ie, something that needs to be addressed by running a proper upgrade process. Login problems from a Mac? Yes, a couple of users have seen this. This is something that should be reported vua Tech Support so that it can be properly logged. It would be important to know your Browser type (and version). But, as an aside, have you tried using Firefox? You can download this immediately at: http://www.ipswitch.com/Support/WhatsUp/patch-upgrades.html Fixed in Version 8.04(HF1): * Corrects a defect where UP alerts were sent when the DOWN trigger value wasn't met. This has been effected by the removal of a single v8.04 bugfix: Device UP alerts are now processed if an alert is triggered by an event, after a Device DOWN alert is triggered. Please note: This is a hotfix for WhatsUp Gold 8.04 only, you must have 8.04 already installed to install this patch. This is not to be applied to WhatsUp Professional. As always, we thank you for your feedback and commitment to WhatsUp products. Happy Holidays! Kelly Anderson Ipswitch, Inc.
