Ok... Weird sh...uhmm, schtuff here....
;)

I've built my NT Service monitors, and in the map view they work like a
champ!
But if I shut down the WUG app, and then host it off as a web site, the
services fail in the web view!!
I don't get it!

My WUG web server has been in place and running like a champ for over a year
now. All I did was change the maps in the config and assign the proper
permissions in the WUG interface.

It comes up, and shows my new/rebuild server map just as I expected it to,
but on the 2 servers that I have extensive service monitoring, they blow up!
None of the service monitors work.

Now, as an experiment, I started up WUG, max'd out the map (that was
performing fine...)and then attached to the web server via browser and the
servers was performing as expected.

Anyone else here "get it"?
TIA!
-Craig

Craig,

In WUG, Open "Configure" / "Monitors & Services".... same idea, just
different menu structure.

Sean...
what version of WUG are you on?
I do not have an "Active Monitor Library"
Was this something that you defined, or was this built into the program?

It's actually pretty easy.

Configure->Active Monitor Library

Click New

Choose NT Service Monitor

Give it a name

Click button next to Service Name

Enter username and password for an account with rights on the email server

Choose McAfee Groupshield service, or whatever it is called.

That's about it.

Anyone done this? Created a custom service to monitor Groupshield on
Exchange?

If you have, can you throw a bone my way and give me a tip or two on how
yours is set up?

TIA!
