See the quotes in my previous post from Matt Cutts (Google engineer) and GoogleGuy who have both warned that if you want "maximum coverage" by Google then avoid session ids. Also, see the eamples I gave of sites that did not have their session ids stripped from the Google index. I do not know how much of a difference this will make but it is not an experiment I am able to make. My site has a lot of good content that needs to be well indexed and I depend on search engine traffic for my income so yes this is important.
