It might sound silly, but a blog attracts blog readers. Some people
are used to reading blogs in the feed readers and will do that when
they're not going to bother to visit a wiki and read the same thing
there. Adding wiki content to a blog makes it available to people in
the way they want to read it and perhaps opens up that content to a
new audience since people will find it via blog search engines like
Technorati when they wouldn't have found it directly on the wiki.
