I would agree that to find stuff its sometimes hectic if you need help of various subjects (bugs/reports/questions/doubts) one can look in, IRC, Wikia central help pages, Staff talk pages, Wikia central forum pages, inside wiki pages, Wikia-l mailing list, wikipedia, mediawiki, wikimedia.. etc and so on... makes it little overwhelming centralizing stuff would be nice that each specifically focus in something and people can should be directed to those specific places to minimize the information been spread all around wikia.
For this server updates/issues/problems/adjustments/etc a RSS page in inside wikia would be a nice place (i mean sounds like a logic place) then a for the widget lovers, a widget that pulls that RSS its an option. For the non widget lovers there is already "wikia message" thing left navigation bar (for monobook) and can be seen cross skin. And a simple text coloring for level of importance would work like blue, green, orange, red. Ciz
