As '&' normally occurs within text, so using it is not a good choice. Other languages, including Malayalam and Sanskrit use '_' for ZWNJ. So it is recommended to use the same. Also it is advised to change 't~' = 'ৎ' and '^' = 'ঁ'. Assigning with some phonetically matchable combinations. You can move this table to one of project page in your Assamese Wikipedia.
