In light of the current focus on new editor retention across all projects, as a focus for community, board and staff (not that those groups aren't overlapping), I agree that having other eyeballs on this bug is warranted, outside of those from en wiki who participated in the discussion on-wiki. I understand that's going to annoy folks who spoke up, voiced their opinion, and thought the matter was closed.
