There are already approved bots, and this can be made via a global bot as
"uncontroversial maitenance".

True. But storing it at WikiData requires to re-run the single bot and
reinspect all pages on all wikis
regularly. Changing a "useful" page into a redirect or vice-versa is a common
phenomenon on many
wikis. No re-running the bot means badges gradually becoming wrong and
inherently useless. Re-running
the bot costs performance, and there will still be temporarily wrong badges.
To sum it up, the magic
word solution is superior to badges and bots maitaining them.

In the namespace ZERO on wiktionaries, local interwiki links have been
decommissioned in
favor of automatic linking. Let's do the same with redirect badges.
