Hi Mark, mmm, not sure I understand your question.
Are you trying to make screen movies to simulate a Smartboard? I don't use proprietary software -- so I'm not familiar with OSS solutions that work with proprietary software. BTW -- Wink is a great tool -- but it is not open source software -- its free ware. The code is not available, so its not open source software.
