Hi Mark

Screenhunter is a free tool that works well. You can also buy the pro
version if you want.

However, the solution may be closer than you think.  The Smartboard
floating toolbar is available when you are not connected but the link
from the taskbar option is greyed out.  However, if you go to programs
| Smartboard software | Other Smart Tools you will find the capture
toolbar there.
