Hi James, Given our growth these last few months (all good of course!) our technical priority is to set up our Phase 2 hosting solution. We're now in the phases of identifying and selecting a reliable hosting company and then we will start setting up the next configuration of WE.
I was working on some WE figures in preparation of COL's board meeting this week. Taking a look at the number of visitors to our WE site -- it took 19 months to reach a cumulative total of 1 million visitors. The second million took only 5 months! In the early days of WE it was far easier to experiment with the technologies in our live production wiki -- these days we need to more careful that we don't break anything. Our Phase 2 hosting solution will incorporate a beta-wiki (or testing area) where we can experiment with technology solutions before moving them over into the live WE environment. WE appreciate the patience from our community as we move forward and scale up. Part of the Phase 2 hosting will also include an issue tracker where members from the community can log issues and feature requests. WE is a community project and we will always welcome additional technical support. So if you know of any good Mediawiki "hackers" at your institution --- be sure to point them in our direction <smile>.
