Declan,

I think we can develop well structured content in no more than three
levels under the root directory, depending of the nature of the
project. Subpages permit similar Titles (maybe absolutely necesary for
two or more projects) can cohabit without interence between one to
each other. That's in my opinion the point.

Word Titles like: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Economy, etc.
should be reserved to be used in the most generic sense under the root
directory. Please see these pages:

http://www.wikieducator.org/Chemistry <----- this is a great resource
http://www.wikieducator.org/Physics
http://www.wikieducator.org/Astronomy <--- An invitation from Günther
http://www.wikieducator.org/Geometry <---- I created this page by
mistake

and many others.

I agree with you, lets be as flat as we can. But sometimes some
verticality is absolutely necessary, to prevent interferences. I think
you agree with me in this principles:

1. Personal pages under root directory
2. Additional personal info UNDER Personal pages.

3. Project Pages under root directory
4. The necessary subpages for consistency and prevention of
interferences.

I don't know any automated way to fix the links. I have onlye made
some manual redirectings of pages in order to send them to other
levels or to change their titles. Big advantage of this feature is
that you don't lose the history of your editings, but the page that
has been redirected, keeps blocked for future uses in the system.

I really whould like to know if there are specific policies regarding
to valid reasons to structure data in various levels. I've already
done this in the Math Glossary and Math Tables and Formulas.

Cheers,
Gladys Gahona
