While you can resize the image directly in the [Image] information,
the whole image is downloaded every time the page is displayed and
there is additional processing to resize it. This takes time and uses
bandwidth and processing.

Consider making a smaller or  thumbnail image that is already resized.
I use Irfanview - a free image editting application. It works really
well and the price is right!
