hey Ben, Maria, Glady's Jim -- Looks like we have the nexus of a great team --- I'm pretty sure Rob and Alison will be joining us as well :-).
I've created a sub-page -- no text yet :-( where I'll copy over the relevant bits from the Hewlett bid. It's a little conceptual -- but basically says that if we embed the educational elements (pedagogical templates or iDevices) of a teaching resource as identifiable elements --- it will be easier for educators to repurpose OER for different contexts. There is also a use case scenario which starts exploring offline and online alternatives for OER and creating the ability to authore WE content using your local word processor. Give me a few hours and I'll get a copy posted on the Wiki. The implication is that we will need to think about a range of pedagogical templates for different purposes --- so this is a timely group and privilege to have this calibre of experience on board!
