Hi all,

For folk who want to experiment and use Open Office for exporting wiki
syntax, WE have a tutorial over here:

http://www.wikieducator.org/Wikieducator_tutorial/Editing_using_open_office

Its great for helping with tables --- there is much room for
improvement in MW's table syntax ;-)

Over at the WikiMedia Foundation, the usability initiative are doing
impressive work on refining the usablity of Mediawiki. You can read
more about this here:

http://blog.wikimedia.org/2009/07/17/lets-tango/

Its great that we use the Mediawiki software engine :-) We'll all
benefit from usability enhancements. The OERF will also be
collaborating with the Ministry of Education on usability improvements
-- so lots of exciting things happening on this front. A significant
advantage of free software --- we're can all collaborate on building a
better future for OER.

Cheers
Wayne
