All Community Members,

Trainers always play a key role in courses and workshops. They must
have a high level of professional and personal credibility, be able to
motivate participants and support group dynamics in a way that leads
to a successful and sustainable learning process. Successfully
designing and carrying out training courses is an art in itself, which
must first be learned before it can be passed on to others.

Indira Gandhi National Open University, India under umbrella of its
School of Journalism and New Media Studies (SOJNMS), is organising a
two weeks training programme on 'Train the Trainer' in collaboration
with DW-AKADEMIE of Deutch Welle, the Federal Republic of Germany’s
international broadcasters. The training is scheduled to be conducted
from 26th October 2009 to 6th November 2009 at IGNOU Campus, Maidan
Garhi, New Delhi, India.

The goal of this programme is to equip the participants with the
skills so that they can train others later. The 'Train the Trainer'
programme covers the following areas:

modern training methods
basics of the learning process
presentation techniques
instruments of communication
needs assessment and objectives
educational tips and strategies
suggested solutions for conflict situations

This training programme is first of its kind to be organised by IGNOU
in India with a vision to propagate the latest methodologies of
training in order to create new set of highly skilled professional
trainers. The ‘Train the Trainers’ is eminently suitable to those who
are in the teaching profession, project management, media trainers, in
human resources management, logistic providers of media production and
management, corporate entities etc.

I am circulating this information to the Community with intention to
invite those who are interested in the training programme.

The registration form with fee structure and the training schedule can
be asked from Prof. Shambu Nath Singh, Director of the School. You may
