Hi Randy,

WikiEducator is first and foremost a project about the essential
freedoms. Our point of departure is freedom of speech.

Therefore Libre software is the default position and our the
foundation on which our project is built. WikiEducator would not be
what is today without the free software foundations and principles on
which we stand.

On ethical grounds we cannot take non-free software as a point of
departure. T

he reason for this is simple. If any educator in the world asks for a
copy of the source code we are using -- we must be in a position to
say yes. Wikieducator cannot find itself in a position where we must
refuse to help a fellow educator in order to upload the copyright
provisions of non-free software.

I know you know this well -- being an free software user yourself, but
need to clarify the point.

Cheers
Wayne
