Hi Kirby, Lots of valuable insight in your post - -thanks :-). I think there are important lessons for the OER to be derived from the experiences of the free software movement.

Already a number of tertiary education institutions have expressed keen interest to work with us. I think this is fundamentally doable. We'll learn a lot along the way -- but we're committed to doing this. All help and advice is well received.
