Luiza, Yes! Great initiative. Do look the Research Commons if you're still
in a exploratory stage for securing the location. The librarians we've
worked with are unfortunately gone. We've hosted a few events there in the
past and Wikipedia editing synchronizes well with the goals of the RC
specifically. Moreover, they've got great flex spaces, equipment, and lots
of plug-ins. In fact, you might be able to reserve one of the classrooms or
areas yourself on the RC homepage.

Having a list of things to work on during the event, and handy materials
for people to use, will definitely help make the event a success. That, and
lots of publicity. It's worth making a few personalized invitations to
folks you think would be really great and will recruit their friends. Food,
too!

Do you plan to have a learn to edit session for newcomers?
