I am happy to replace that with: "Secret scholarships. How bizarre, this is the opposite of transparency and would be an especially difficult thing to justify if it later came out that there should have been declarations of interest for those taking scholarships." Apologies if anyone took offence in their way of reading my surprise at this lack of transparency. Presumably there are no declarations that ought to be made in the chosen sponsored attendees, as no declarations have been made.
