Well, including "Wikimedia" and "United States" turns it into a huge mouthful. Brevity is super-important in conversation and many written/printed situations as well.
We can safely leave out "Wikimedia" - and only mention it where needed, such as "This Wiknic is hosted by Wikipedia's <INSERT NAME HERE>. Also, "United States" is easily shortened to "America".
