Commit summary:

Follow-up r104345. Make freenode.net links protocol relative again.
Also dropped the trailing slash on a couple of languages.
Using www.freenode.net doesn't hit the warning about using *.freenode.net
(on http, www.freenode.net will redirect dropping the www.)

Comment:

I'd actually kind of like to not fill the world with protocol-relative links;
we should rather work towards migrating everything to https. If another site
has real, working, non-broken https: links we should just use them always. If
they have a broken half-assed "oh there's also an SSL server but it probably
doesn't work right" and throws warnings, then we should never use that (leave
the choice to things like HTTPS Everywhere).
