A VPS owner would often set the reverse DNS to match their own domain,
so I think reverse DNS data is not very useful for gauging the relative
use of shared vs. VPS hosting.

The question we are interested in is mainly whether a wiki is on a host
with support for the installation of wiki-specific software. In general
that is hard to figure out in an automated way, especially for less
common providers / reverse DNS entries.
