Hello,
Sorry if my questions are too basic.
I am newbie trying to install WiMAX drivers on my machine with in-built Intel
Echo Peak 5350 card.
I have Ubuntu 8.10 (with a kernel version 2.6.27-11) on my machine.
I am following the steps given at
http://www.linuxwimax.org/WiMAX-Network-Service-1.3.3-mainline-README.txt
According to the steps mentioned-
-> I have cloned the linux kernel from
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/inaky/linux-firmware-wimax.git
Now it says "enable wimax drivers - Networking Options > WiMAX, Device Drivers
> Network Drivers > WiMAX devices"
I am not sure if I understand as to how this is to be done. I dont see such an
option on Ubuntu. Can you please guide me with this.
-> Also, should I build the kernel that I have cloned? If so, can you please
let me know the steps that I need to follow and how exactly it needs to done.
I guess once I get through this phase, I should be able to follow the remaining
steps and hopefully be able to install the driver.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Vivek
