As well, make sure you use the 1.4 version, as 1.3 is quite old and
networks might not work with it.

Adding to Dan's comments (thanks!) what you basically need is

wimax-i2400m-1.4.1.tar.bz2              The driver
i2400m-1.4.0.tar.bz2                    The firmware
WiMAX-Network-Service-1.4.0.tar.bz2     The user space code
Intel-WiMAX-Binary-SUpplicant-1.4.0.tar.bz2     The user space supplicant

build them and install them in that order and things should all fall in
place.
