Hi

Once upon a time, when dinosaurs roamed the world and King DOS fought hard
and long to survive against the marauding hoards of double glazing
contractors (Windows) WP5, 5.1, Wang and another prog which I cannot
remember the name of but was published by the dBase folk used printer codes
and the one I had also had a "page view". I did all my degree stuff using
this and boy oh boy was it good (on a 286 @ 6Mhz with 256K ram). The old
Acorn/BBC Master had a similar setup where print codes were inserted into
the text.

In all these programs one could write one's own printer driver and use
one's own "shortcuts" in the text to use the formatting.

So specialist programs arrived to help extend the use of fonts as did the
graphical stuff we all use today.

I do remember that the laser or page printers offered tons of built in
fonts and Adobe came out with a method to use these with many DOS based
programs.

Can I suggest that you contact a "self help" group for the disabled and
there is always the possibility of using Windows with voice commands and
the world is you friend's oyster......................
