In addition to that, they may be technically competent and that is the
reason they do no switch. For example, I know Bank of America did not switch
to XP and stayed with W2K because that is what their programs were certified
to use. Do you want your banking info (and money) gone because of some new
bug in the O/S?

Actually, had this happen to me back in 1969 (yes before PC <G>). The answer
I received from branch managers was "I don't know how they figure it (i.e.
average daily balance). It is done by a computer, so it must be correct."
Took numerous calls until I finally got a VP of the bank to listen and check
it out. BTW, it had to do with the interest I was being charge. I may not be
an accountant, but when the interest is more the second and third month than
the first month after I paid off 90% of the balance, something is incorrect.
Don't need to "understand how it works" and I did.

So, say thank you that some business do not jump to the newest and "best"?
