The Serial power connection is different from the standard ide ata power
interface. You'll need to purchase a serial ata power adapter.
Antec makes a package of two that you can plug into the standard atx power
cables that then have the other end to connect to the sata drive's power
socket. It's just that the power cable/socket connector for the sata drive is
different. I got the antec package at CompUSA last week end when I got my new
maxtor sata driver 16mb cache 250 gig storage. The antec package of two 4.25 "
adapters cost about $9. CompUSA had their own package of the adapter, but same
price for a package of one.
