Motherboard manufacturer (Gigabyte) told me today that there was a failure on the board, something about the firewire subsystem. As a result of the failure, the board would not function.
The are actually repairing it and sending it back. I should have it Tuesday or Wednesday.
Can't believe that they actually do repairs rather than send a new one!?!
