Dunno about the log files, but if I run tcpview it shows two ports active on: svchost.exe:880 UDP fantasy-bernie:ntp *:* svchost.exe:880 UDP FANTASY-BERNIE:ntp *:* And so it is probably on the right port... Aha... I just tried it three more times: got a timeout, and unspecified "error occurred".. and... *success*. So changing to the 'pool' seems to have done the trick. /Bernie\ -- Bernie Cosell Fantasy Farm Fibers mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Pearisburg, VA --> Too many people, too few sheep <-- -- ---------------------------------------- The WIN-HOME list is hosted on a Windows 2000(TM) machine running L-Soft international's LISTSERV(R) software.
